Refund & Cancellation Policy
How cancelling works at AsyncView, when we refund a charge and when we do not, and how to ask us for one.
Last updated 27 July 2026
1. The short version
AsyncView is sold as a monthly subscription, billed in advance. You can cancel whenever you like and you will not be charged again. We do not refund the part of a cycle you have already paid for, except where the law requires it or where one of the cases below applies.
Every plan starts with a free trial that needs no card, so you can run real interviews before you pay anything.
2. Who takes the payment
Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as merchant of record for AsyncView. Paddle appears on your card or bank statement, issues your invoice, and handles any applicable sales tax. A refund we approve is returned by Paddle to the payment method you used.
3. Cancelling a subscription
Cancel from the billing settings inside your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the cycle you have already paid for: you keep your plan and its remaining interview credits until then, and no further payment is taken.
Downgrading works the same way — the smaller plan starts at your next renewal, so nothing is charged on the day you downgrade. Upgrading takes effect immediately and is charged pro rata.
4. When we do give a refund
We will refund you in these cases, and you do not need to argue for it:
- You were charged after cancelling, or charged twice for the same cycle.
- A fault on our side made the service unusable for a significant part of a cycle and we could not fix it.
- You were billed for a renewal you did not intend and you tell us within 14 days of the charge, provided you have not spent interview credits in that cycle.
- The law where you live gives you a right to cancel and be refunded.
5. When we do not
We generally will not refund a cycle where the credits were used, an unused cycle that you simply forgot to cancel beyond the window above, or an account closed by us for a breach of the Terms & Conditions. Interview credits themselves have no cash value and are not exchangeable.
6. How to request a refund
Email info@asyncview.com from the address on the account and tell us which charge you mean — the date and the amount are enough, and the invoice number helps. We aim to reply within two business days.
If we approve it, Paddle returns the money to your original payment method. How long it then takes to appear depends on your bank, but it is usually within 14 days of approval.
